I just finished watching the National Spelling Bee.  It's like the ultimate geeky heaven for me--some people might be bored by it, but I am riveted. I was especially tickled by this year's winning word--Laodicean, meaning lukewarm or indifferent. It's hailed by the article on Yahoo! as a "doozy of a word," but apparently they've never read the book ( Read more... )
